Association canadienne du biogaz

The Canadian Biogas Association is the collective voice of the biogas industry in Canada. Since 2008, it has had over 100 members, including farmers, municipalities, technology developers, consultants, financing and insurance companies, and other affiliated representatives. All are focused on developing the biogas sector in Canada.

The Canadian Biogas Association serves its members in several ways. For example, it promotes biogas opportunities, develops policies that influence biogas development, provides resources, and offers technical expertise to help stakeholders address the challenges of industry development.

More specifically, the role of the Canadian Biogas Association is, among other things: to support the development of policies and regulations on landfill diversion of organic matter, climate change, renewable energy, and other related issues; to advance industry knowledge by engaging with various stakeholders; to create knowledge networks within the industry; to support members on a wide range of issues related to renewable natural gas (RNG); and to promote business opportunities associated with biogas to develop it to its full potential.
