L’Association pour la prévention de la contamination de l’air et du sol (APCAS)

The Association pour la prévention de la contamination de l’air et du sol (APCAS) is headquartered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is the Quebec chapter of the Air & Waste Management Association (A&WMA).

This non-profit, non-partisan professional organization aims to be a neutral forum for discussion for all stakeholders interested in environmental issues in Quebec, the Maritimes, and eastern Ontario. More specifically, APCAS’s role includes disseminating information and professional training in the areas of air quality and air pollution control processes, waste management, and contaminated soils. The organization also acts as a link between environmental professionals.

Among other things, APCAS organizes the Biogas and Bioenergy Conference, held every year in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada. This industry event brings together the various stakeholders in waste management, biogas operation and upgrading, bioenergy, and GHG reduction.
