Méthalac is a family-owned company specializing in the design, construction, maintenance, and biological and mechanical monitoring of agricultural methanation units. With 10 years of experience, Méthalac has mastered the entire biogas upgrading value chain. With nearly 60 units in operation, the company specializes in treating and recovering value from agricultural materials and biowaste from the agri-food industry. The company now has 60 employees in Europe, the United States, and Canada.

Méthalac focuses its expertise on customized solutions for optimizing methanation, a natural process of organic matter breakdown by microorganisms that produces biogas and digestate.

The design and technologies implemented by Méthalac offer economic and environmental benefits, notably through the production of renewable energy in the form of electricity, heat, or biomethane injected directly into the public grid or used as fuel. In addition, there are agronomic benefits from digestate production, a natural fertilizer that significantly reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers.

The group has established itself as a benchmark in the French market, with strong growth marked by 12 new units built each year across France and internationally, driven notably by the recent establishment of its subsidiary in the United States.
