Waga Energy
The company recovers biogas from landfill sites in the form of biomethane, a renewable substitute for natural gas.
Called WAGABOX®, Waga Energy’s purification units guarantee high-quality biomethane, regardless of the quality of the raw biogas. This biomethane can be injected directly into gas distribution networks or used as vehicle fuel.
Waga Energy finances, builds, and operates WAGABOX® units under long-term contracts with waste operators, sharing with them the revenue generated from biomethane sales.
By recovering value from a byproduct of waste treatment, Waga Energy produces the least expensive biomethane on the market. At a large-capacity landfill site, its selling price will be comparable to that of fossil gas for consumers.
WAGABOX® units help combat global warming by substituting biomethane for natural gas, but also by capturing a major source of greenhouse gas emissions.
